چکیده

Nonconvulsive status epilepticus (NCSE) can produce a wide spectrum of clinical symptoms depending on the regions and the relative amount of brain that is made dysfunctional by persistent epileptic discharges. NCSE can cause ictal behaviors resembling psychosis. However, only a few clear cases of NCSE causing diverse features of psychosis have been reported. We describe a patient with NCSE during pregnancy, who demonstrated full-blown psychotic symptoms associated with right hemispheric ictal activity on EEG.
